The Killarney Parent Fundraising Society (KPFS) is a registered Canadian charity and raises money to support the Killarney School Council’s (KSC) initiatives to enrich Montessori education at Killarney School. Funds are invested in Montessori materials, technology, educational initiatives and events that enhance our students’ experiences.

Thanks to your generous donation, KSC hopes to support the following initiatives this year:

• Provide each teacher with funds to enhance their classroom and support student learning

• Create and fund the Learning Commons and library books

• Sponsor enrichment activities such as Artists-in-Residence, field trips, and seasonal in-school activities

• Purchase computer equipment, Montessori work materials, P.E. equipment, and art supplies

• Provide musical instruments and resources for the music program

• Maintain the Peace Garden, garden boxes, and outdoor classroom

• Help to offset school administrative costs to free up funds for more teaching support staff

• Spearhead the replacement of the current playground with a brand new playground - projected completion in 2026

The KSC relies on the financial support from our school community through this fundraiser to keep its programs operating at their current levels.

The KSC is committed to getting the most value from all donations. We appreciate that time is valuable for families, so we ask for direct contributions only once per school year. We do not ask Killarney families to sell anything during the school year. Although there may be an occasional bake sale or fun event event, parents and caregivers are not asked to solicit friends and neighbours to buy perogies, chocolate almonds or subscriptions! Our annual approach to fundraising allows everyone to make the most of their time and donations. Any donation amount is appreciated and if you are looking for guidance on an amount, $125 per student is suggested. Tax receipts are provided for any donation dollar amount, as we are a registered Canadian charity.

​We accept online donations at our GoFundMe page or by cheque made payable to the Killarney Parent Fundraising Society.

If you have missed the official Fundraising Campaign, don’t worry! Donations are accepted throughout the year through the GoFundMe page, direct contributions, and employer programs like Benevity and the United Way.
